GUERRILLA JIU-JITSU THIBODAUX

Guerrilla Jiu-Jitsu of Thibodaux
We pride ourselves on being the first martial arts academy offering Brazilian Jiu Jitsu to the great city of Thibodaux. As a Guerrilla Jiu Jitsu Affiliate, we offer a hybrid grappling style built around techniques from Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, Judo, American Wrestling and a tactical influence from military combatives.
You will find no better place to train self defense in Thibodaux!
We believe character development is the most important role a martial arts academy has to offer a child. Starting at age 6, our kids’ jiu jitsu program is designed around building positive character traits such as Self Discipline, Self Confidence, Self Control and Leadership skills. Watch your child’s self image grow as they face and overcome adversity during their training.

As adults we often look for new ways to challenge ourselves to stay in shape and learn new skills while building camaraderie. Our adult jiu jitsu classes accomplish all three at once. Here you will find a collective group of individuals that will help build you into the capable individual WE ALL need to be.

Hands down THE gym to train at. Chill, laid back training environment suitable for all levels. Prof Scotty is easy going and relatable with a wealth of knowledge, and his training style reflects that. Great training partners and a place where everyone is part of a big, welcoming family.

Great place to train. If you've been thinking of trying out jiu jitsu I highly recommend giving it a shot. Lots of fun and a great workout. But regardless, get your kids over here ASAP! Scotty is fantastic with them. Wrestling is a great base for any sport if you're into other stuff. Even if you're not, jiu jitsu gives your kids the confidence to stand up for themselves and not be bullied. Can't recommend enough.

I highly recommend getting your kids involved in Jiu Jitsu. The mental and physical skills these kids will acquire will absolutely set them apart from the crowd in the real world. If you think all martial arts are the same and you don't really care which one your child goes with, you are doing them an injustice. Do your research.
I have trained in: Karate, TKD, Muay Thai, Marine Corps Martial Arts, and Department of State Defensive Tactics. Without a doubt the style of Jiu Jitsu taught at Next Generation Martial Arts has left me far more capable of actually defending myself than any of the styles above.
