As many of you know Trepp and Jeremy competed at the NAGA event over the weekend and both did very well. On their behalf we want to thank everyone for coming out to support them. There were at least four people missing from this photo. It's truly amazing to see how far we've come since opening in 2016. From renting a room twice a week to having the largest mat area in Lafourche parish. We couldn't have done it without the support from the community. We look forward to hitting the decade mark in 2026 and cannot wait to see what's in store.
Martial arts classes timing
4:30pm Pre-K Martial Arts Class - Today's class will begin with a quick warm up focused on basic calisthenics. Then we will work on sprawling into back control. Lastly we will end class with a game called "ride the bull".
5:30pm Kid's Jiu Jitsu Class - Class will begin with a typical warm up followed by side control 101. Once we disperse into groups we will work on dominant positions and control. Class will end with situation specific drilling focused on takedowns.
6:30pm Adult Jiu Jitsu Class - Class will begin with a joint warm up and stretch and Jiu Jitsu will continue with Judo based drilling as continued warm up. Shane will teach the gift wrap position from mount and end class with will closed guard get off the bottom pass drill.
6:30pm Adult Striking Class - Class will begin with a joint warm up and stretch and then striking will grab kick shields and begin with front, side and round house kicks. We will follow that with pad work before revisiting our hi/low combo from last week. Class will end with rounds of sparring. Please bring mouth guard, gloves, and shin guards. Jiu Jitsu white belts remember to attend these classes when you can.
